How to apply false eyelashes
False eye lashes are used to create a more dramatic look. You can choose between wearing individual lashes or strip lashes. I prefer individual lashes because I can play around with the different lengths available to create specific looks, however strip lashes are just as effective.
Applying false lashes was made the must have makeup and fashion trend by the likes of Kim Kardashian, however there are many ways in which you can create the illusion of fuller lashes before opting for false lashes.
If you have sparse lashes then my advise is to smudge dark eyeshadow along the lash line and follow with a few layers of mascara. If you have pale lashes, coat your lashes with brown mascara, then dust setting powder over the lashes and follow with another coat of mascara. The brown mascara will darken the lashes and the application of powder between the mascara application will give the illusion of a thicker lash line. If you suffer with not having lashes due to alopecia or chemotherapy, I suggest you use a dark eyeshadow with a damp liner brush and smudge this through the lash line.

How to apply false eyelashes
- You may use either individual or strip lashes, it all depends on which you prefer.
- Pick up the lashes from it’s packaging using a tweezer.
- You first need to measure the lashes in proportion to your own eye, trim the lashes from the outer corners making sure to trim at the vein (if you are using strip lashes)
- Once the eyelashes are cut to fit the eye, shape the lashes. Roll them around your finger or make brush to ensure a rounded feel to the lashes.
- Apply a thin layer of glue only to the vein area, wait 30 seconds for the glue to become tacky.
- Place the false lashes as close to the lash line as possible.
- First secure the middle, the outer edge and then the inner corner..
- Once the lashes have dried, check that they are secure.
- Finally, add mascara to join the false lashes to your natural lashes.
- If you are using individual lashes, start from the outside of the eye working towards the inner corner.
- Follow the above procedure.
